Milk Drunk: What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting is a non-fiction self-reflective portrait that candidly details a child-free (by choice) married woman maneuvering through life and the societal judgments accompanying that lifestyle.

I am a married woman in her forties who decided at sixteen she did not want children. Throughout life I found myself explaining, defending, and advocating this decision that defies a significant societal norm. Many of these encounters involve people with zero issues detailing how wrong this decision was for my own life. Not to mention how I deprived family, society and even God. However, for the many (and I do mean many) haters who argue my decision, there are others who express encouragement, curiosity, pride, and acceptance. By documenting and voicing these experiences, it has created an entertaining and entirely different form of baby mama drama.
